About COYA
Coptic Orthodox Youth Association (COYA) was established for Coptic Youth living in the United Kingdom, under the general care and direction of its Patron, H.G Bishop Angaelos. Its membership is open to all between the ages of 14 and 35 years, whose conduct and objectives are compatible with the religious framework of the Coptic Orthodox Church.
COYA was established to: facilitate a greater union among Coptic youth, preach the Gospel of our Lord, promote Christian fellowship, promote spiritual and intellectual enlightenment, provide social support and preserve the richness of Coptic heritage for all its members and their families.
The aim of COYA is to achieve the following objectives:
o provide cultural, social, educational and spiritual activities for its members;
o promote service through love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness and faith;
o provide a formal means of communication and collaboration with other Christian and social organisations;
o uphold a support network for its members; and
o nurture tomorrow’s leaders and servants.
